About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft Program is looking for Work & Material Planners to join our Work & Material Planning (W&MP) team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will be the heart of the operation of the Final Assembly Line (FAL). You will be part of the Work & Material Planning team responsible for daily production plans, follow-ups within various functions such as suppliers and production team and ensure parts delivery to production line in Just in Time. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. Your role as Work & Material Planner will be to rally the multifunctionnal team in a common production plan by priorising and coordinating activities and parts delivery.

Requirements

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in logistics or industrial engineering, operations and logistics management, or a college diploma with equivalent experience
  • You have two to five years of relevant experience in logistics or production planning
  • You have a strong interest in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
  • You are comfortable using the Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • You have an ease to use Google Suite (Files, Docs, Slides)

Nice To Haves

  • You have relevant experience in the automotive or aerospace industry (an asset)
  • You have a good understanding of written and spoken French and English (an asset)
  • You have work experience with SAP (an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate many stakeholders activities such as Supplier’s rework and Production unplanned work
  • Build production plan (shopload) for takted areas as well as "unpaced" production section
  • Perform close follow-up on many stakeholders inside and outside multi-functional team such as procurement, store, quality, method, engineering, on site supplier, etc
  • Being the center of all activities on the aircraft
  • Define and execute lean and reliable material flows from dock to point of use in close collaboration with the Logistics-Supply function
  • Define and implement inventory management as part of an overall working capital improvement strategy
  • Develop solutions to align supply and demand to achieve inventory management strategy
  • Define and document the handling equipment from the loading dock to the workstation
  • Define and document production kits
  • Interact with various multidisciplinary teams (Logistics-Supply, Methods, Plant Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality)
  • Participate in improvement projects (Achieving Excellence System, 5S, lean manufacturing, cost reduction, manufacturing improvement, etc.)
