About The Position

Haleon is currently looking for a Production Planner to join the Montreal (Saint-Laurent) team. As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of the production schedule by ensuring the planning and availability of raw materials, packaging components, and products required for site operations. You will work closely with suppliers as well as with the Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure operational continuity, inventory optimization, and compliance with quality and conformity standards. Haleon is a manufacturing site for liquid, solid, and semi-solid health products, with complex regulatory factors, technical processes, and high-risk activities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in French is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as supply chain, operations management, administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in material planning, procurement, or a similar function.
  • Experience with an ERP system, ideally SAP.
  • Good command of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external partners.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principles.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).
  • APA certification or other certification in procurement or logistics.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, particularly pharmaceutical, food, or consumer products.
  • Experience in supplier performance management.
  • Knowledge of advanced planning processes and best practices in inventory management.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and cost optimization.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Responsibilities

  • Plan raw material and component needs to support the production schedule.
  • Analyze planning system recommendations and manage supplier orders, including accelerations, postponements, and delivery follow-ups.
  • Ensure the availability of required material while optimizing inventory levels and associated costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve supply, quality, and performance issues.
  • Maintain and optimize planning parameters in SAP and related systems.
  • Participate in cost reduction initiatives and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate activities related to the receipt, inspection, and release of materials and components.
  • Ensure effective inventory management, including tracking of surplus, destruction, and supplier returns.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning, procurement, and inventory management processes.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Logistics teams to resolve operational issues and establish priorities.
