About The Position
The Planetarium Associate supports the delivery of planetarium programs at the museum and contributes to public outreach initiatives. This role involves both behind-the-scenes support and direct public engagement. This position works a maximum of 15 hours per week (30 hours per two-week pay period).
Requirements
- Must have Work-Study Award.
Nice To Haves
- Must be available to work on Sundays.
Responsibilities
- Assist staff and volunteers in preparing and facilitating planetarium programs.
- Collaborate with curators and volunteers to present educational content to the public.
- Deliver planetarium shows and presentations to museum visitors.
- Support routine maintenance and cleaning of planetarium equipment and facilities
- Participate in community outreach activities as needed.
