This role is one of the initial points of contact in preparation for the Customer. This role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living. The company has been family-owned and operated since 1961, aiming to provide high-quality kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated employees.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret basic paperwork, build tickets, etc.
• Will be required to read and understand paperwork/build tickets.
• Must be proficient in reading a tape measure.
• Ability to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a self-starter who works well and can follow a list of daily work assignments.
• Possesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.
• Must have good hand and eye coordination.
• Required to notify production lead person or Supervisor of a problem or issue.
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work well with other employees.
• High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks.
• Organization and planning.

Responsibilities

• Proper lifting and stacking techniques.
• Stacking and handling a variety of components to support the build process of the final product.
• Perform quality checks throughout machining process to ensure parts are correct for customer satisfaction.
• Daily reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Maintain Housekeeping procedures daily in the work area.
• Learn a variety of wood types depending on the department (Maple, Oak, Cherry, Hickory, MDF, Koto, Plywood, Particleboard, etc.).
