About The Position

Marsh Risk is seeking a Placement Specialist to formulate placement strategies by utilizing substantial risk expertise and knowledge of industry and carriers to develop solutions that meet difficult client needs. The role involves devising go-to-market strategies, advocating for the value of the placement function, and participating in pricing of services as applicable. The specialist will instruct the submission of coverage specifications, obtain quotes from carriers based upon the “assist, advise, and assume” transaction model, and consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production. Responsibilities include inspecting the binding of coverage and ensuring the accuracy of placement binders. The role also involves driving and building relationships with practice, insurance markets, clients, carriers, and/or underwriters to provide cohesive client service. A key aspect is mastering a detailed understanding of changing insurance and risk management market conditions and informing client executives, client advisors, and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of products/coverage. The specialist will lead complex placement/technical support activities on big accounts, ensuring procedural compliance, reviewing data, updating annual renewal exhibits, and maintaining accurate placement system entries for contract execution. Additionally, the role requires consulting management on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participating in the development of solutions.
