About The Position

Corvus Consulting, LLC is seeking a PKI Engineer to support the evaluation, testing, development, deployment, and maintenance of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions and services in a secure, mission-focused environment. This role is primarily remote; however, candidates must be local to the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD area and available to attend in-person meetings as needed. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and sustaining secure PKI architectures, ensuring compliance with security standards, and supporting critical infrastructure initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative technical team to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-impact cybersecurity solutions supporting government and defense-related missions.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Strong understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Hands-on experience designing, setting up, and operating PKI components
• Experience working with multiple PKI products
• Knowledge of certificate policies, certificate contents, and the certificate lifecycle
• Experience automating the certificate lifecycle

Nice To Haves

• Intermediate to senior-level PKI knowledge
• Strong Linux experience
• Solid understanding of asymmetric cryptography concepts and applications
• Experience supporting Army tactical networks and understanding their operational impacts

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, test, develop, deploy, and maintain PKI services and solutions
• Collaborate with team members to identify improvement opportunities and design efficient, robust solutions
• Develop automated services to improve usability and streamline PKI processes
• Support certificate lifecycle management, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and policy compliance
