About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Pizza Maker to join our culinary team at Liscio's Italian Bakery, Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality pizzas and managing all aspects of pizza preparation, from ingredient selection to baking. This role demands a high level of energy and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The available shifts are generally 6:00am.-2:00pm. or 10:00am.-6:00pm., including weekends and holidays. Please note that schedules may be subject to change.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in the food industry, specifically in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience in food preparation, with a preference for skills in baking and pizza oven operation.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Available to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
• Reliable transportation is required, as the position involves working at multiple sites within Glassboro, Sewell and Sicklerville and possibly traveling between our bakeries and deli.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual proficiency is preferred to effectively communicate with a diverse team and customer base.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings according to our traditional recipes.
• Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment with proficiency and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pizza preparation and serving areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
• Ensure all pizzas are prepared to a high standard and in line with company guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Address and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality or service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
