Pizza Maker/Pizza Line Cook
About The Position
Pizza Line Cook / Pizza Maker at Hearth Pizza Tavern. This is a hands-on pizza production position in a high-energy kitchen. The role involves hand-stretching pizza dough, preparing pizzas to recipe specifications, building pizzas with proper portioning and presentation, operating and managing oven cooking times, and working pizza stations efficiently during busy service. Responsibilities also include prepping ingredients, maintaining station cleanliness and food safety standards, communicating with the kitchen team, and supporting prep and opening/closing duties. The company offers training on dough stretching, pizza building, and oven execution.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen, pizza, restaurant, or fast-paced food service experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to move quickly and stay organized during busy shifts
- Comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs
- Weekend availability is required
- Availability for AM and/or PM shifts
Responsibilities
- Hand-stretch pizza dough and prepare pizzas to recipe specifications
- Build pizzas with proper portioning, toppings, and presentation standards
- Operate and manage oven cooking times for consistent quality
- Work the pizza stations efficiently during busy lunch and dinner service
- Prep ingredients, including cheeses, sauces, toppings, proteins, and garnishes
- Maintain station cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team to ensure accurate ticket times
- Support prep and closing/opening duties as needed
- Learn kitchen systems and help maintain smooth service flow
