About The Position

Boxcar is hiring Pizza Kitchen Staff for its Durham kitchen. The kitchen operates as a scratch-made, hand-tossed pizza operation in an open-format setting where customers can watch the work. Staff prepare and bake pizza, interact directly with guests, and help keep service running during regular operations and private events. The role also includes food preparation, inventory management, cleaning, dishwashing, and closing duties.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred.
Experience with hand-tossed dough is a major plus.
ServSafe Food Handler Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Execute scratch-made recipes consistently, including hand-tossing dough and baking pizza.
Take orders, operate the POS, and interact directly with guests in the open-format kitchen.
Handle large catering orders for private events while maintaining service on the main line.
Complete prep work and manage inventory.
Keep the work station clean and food-safe.
Wash dishes, perform deep cleaning, and complete closing duties.
