Position Overview As Pizza Chef, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and leading our wood-fired pizza program—from dough to finished pie. This is a hands-on role for a true craftsperson who values authenticity, consistency, and hospitality. Requirements

  • Proven experience crafting hand-made pizzas from scratch (dough through bake)
  • Strong understanding of fermentation, hydration, and flour types
  • Experience working with wood-fired or high-temperature ovens preferred
  • Passion for artisanal food and traditional techniques
  • Comfortable working in an outdoorkitchen environment
  • Strong communication skills and a hospitality-driven mindset
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of a program
  • Experience in a pizza kitchen environment, preferably 2+ years
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to move pizza oven equipment and cart, approximately 200 pounds
  • Work in heat-related environment, outdoor natural elements.
  • Food handlers card

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the pizza program, including menu development and execution
  • Prepare and manage all dough production, fermentation, and scaling
  • Hand-stretch, top, and fire pizzas in a high-heat wood-burning oven
  • Maintain exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Engage with members during service—this is an interactive, guest-facing role
  • Manage mise en place, ingredient sourcing, and inventory for the program
  • Uphold cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team on seasonal features and specials
