About The Position

The PIT Tech operates a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks into waste trailers trucks or storage facilities. This role is a good fit for individuals entering the workforce or re-entering with limited experience and education. ABM is a military and veteran friendly employer, and veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Limited experience and education are acceptable.
Must be able to operate a forklift.
Ability to load and unload materials.
Ability to move materials to and from designated areas.
Ability to check that loads are secure.
Ability to stack empty pallets.
Ability to perform daily equipment checks.

Military experience is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Operates a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries.
Moves materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks into waste trailers, trucks, or storage facilities.
Transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
Loads and unloads material of good/bad pallets.
Moves pallets around the storage facility, stacking them in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions.
Checks that loads are secure.
Stacks empty pallets.
Performs daily equipment checks, such as recharging the truck's battery.
