About The Position

APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Pit Loader Operator to join their team. This role involves operating heavy machinery to produce and provide crushed aggregate materials, sand, ready-mix concrete, and asphalt. The company has a long history, serving customers since the early 20th century in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and southern Missouri. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience or training in construction or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate rubber-tired or crawler tractors equipped with front-end scoop buckets safely and efficiently.
Excavate and load materials from pit sites, stockpiles, and batch plants; load trucks as needed.
Maintain a vigilant approach to workplace safety for yourself and your team.
Lift materials weighing up to 50–100 pounds unassisted when required.
Communicate clearly with co-workers, using hand signals and maintaining eye contact, especially when maneuvering equipment in shared workspaces.
Adhere strictly to company policies and all OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe work practices.
Follow direction from the Foreman regarding daily tasks and project expectations.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor servicing; escalate major issues to the Foreman.
Complete daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections, documenting findings according to company guidelines.
Assist in training less experienced team members on equipment operation, service, and repair.
Perform general labor duties as required to support site operations.
