About The Position

The Pit Lead ensures employees are providing excellent customer service and supervises personnel working in their respective areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of Casino Games experience.
  • Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and noisy conditions, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Must maintain a calm and patient attitude when coaching individuals or while handling difficult customers and employees.
  • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Communication - Ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken word.
  • Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs and exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others while following company procedures.
  • Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.
  • Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
  • Safety - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.

Responsibilities

  • Preserves the integrity of the games by providing close oversight of employees and guests in respective area, while continually maintaining observation for dealer/player misconduct.
  • Enforces performance standards, policies and procedures related to Pit Games, ensuring compliance with the gaming regulations.
  • Enforce and support company policy with knowledge and understanding of all Running Aces approved Pit Games, while holding extensive knowledge of department processes.
  • Continuously observes games in progress for possible irregularities in player or dealer conduct.
  • Maintain positive customer relations, evaluate play and extend complimentary services when appropriate.
  • Monitors and assists in changing of cards and performing table fills/credits.
  • Assists the Pit Manager when counting cards and secures the card control cabinet.
  • Maintains knowledge of current Casino promotions.
  • Maintains a visual presence on the casino floor at all times, while walking the entirety of the pit area(s) assigned to continuously monitor fellow employees and guests.
  • Abilities to make impartial and unbiased decisions surrounding problems and/or errors.
  • Communicate to Pit and/or Shift Manager any irregularities or discrepancies that occur on a table or with a guest.
  • Ability to effectively coach individuals on company and departmental policy/procedure violations.
  • Must know and adhere to all game protection policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
