About The Position

In this role, you will provide project field engineering support with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover. Your work will contribute to ensuring field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H).
Familiar with Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies.
Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
Knowledge of Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" safety program.

Responsibilities

Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.
Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
Reviews and approves inspection test plans.
Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittments.
