About The Position

Design Department is presently seeking highly-motivated Skilled Draftsmen with the ability to develop 3D product model and 2D design disclosure / drawing products for propulsion plant and non-propulsion plant fluid systems and ventilation systems. These products are developed from system diagrams, design sketches, layouts and/or concepts, manufacture, assembly and test data. There are multiple openings within D452 Piping and Ventilation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or Vocational High School diploma
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting (portfolio) with Computer Aided Design (CAD)
  • A portfolio demonstrating CAD work, knowledge of Microsoft products, familiarity with basic design practices/rules and CAD tools, ability to perform design related math functions, ability to read and interpret written instructions, the ability to read and interpret drawings (blueprints), and the desire to develop skills through on-the-job experience and continued education to advance in the design profession.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting (portfolio) with AutoCAD/CATIA/NX
  • Familiarity with Design Standards, Military Specifications, Manufacturing Processes, Design for Six Sigma, Lean Design/Manufacturing
