About The Position

The Piping Designer/Engineer will be responsible for working directly with site operations, technicians, and project teams to develop the scope of work. This role requires strong communication skills to interface with site project engineers, document controllers, operations, and the LTTS team for project requirements. The position also involves interfacing and coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and effectively manage the internal flow of data and design changes. A key aspect of this role is to ensure site safety and health protocols are followed.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, downstream facilities.
  • Experienced in Piping and Mechanical Design: Equipment Layout, Piping Isometrics, Plot Plans, General Arrangement Drawings, Bill of Material.
  • Design Experience in Brownfield Projects, Capital and MOC projects in Oil & Gas upstream, midstream or downstream facilities, or petrochemical facilities.
  • Ability to go to the field and safely collect site information and support field work activities.
  • Ability to follow all Client's safety requirements while working in the field, in office, or driving at site.
  • Ability to safely work independently at site, including climbing stairs and ladders, and work at height (elevated platforms & facilities).
  • Experienced into Piping Codes, API and ASME standards and local standards in Texas.
  • Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of design codes including ASME Section VIII, Div. 1, TEMA and other API standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with European codes would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scope of work for LTTS by working directly with site operations, technicians, and project teams.
  • Communicate with site project engineer, site document controller, operations and LTTS team for project requirements.
  • Interface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and effectively manage the internal flow of data and design changes.
  • Work with vendors for any vendor specific items and update the relevant Equipment drawings.
  • Review Mechanical engineering discipline deliverables in AutoCAD 2D and 3D Model in Aveva 3D.
  • Perform Quality Review and Validation of final deliverables before submission to client.
  • Ensure site safety and health protocols are followed.
  • Collect site information and support field work activities.
  • Follow all Client's safety requirements while working in the field, in office, or driving at site.
  • Safely work independently at site, including climbing stairs and ladders, and work at height (elevated platforms & facilities).
