About The Position

Reporting to Site Quality Manager and Project Manager, this role applies skills and knowledge to determine the degree of conformance of materials, equipment, and installation of materials and equipment to specifications. The position performs inspection of various project activities, more specifically Pipeline, and generates daily and weekly reports of conditions found during inspection activities. The inspector notifies management of significant problems and completes documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.

Requirements

AWS CWI Certification (Required)
Pipeline coating experience required (AMPP/NACE not mandatory)
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record (Required)
All applicants must pass a background check (Required)
A pre-employment drug test as well as quarterly random drug testing (Required)
Communicate effectively, both written and orally

Nice To Haves

Candidates that have API 1169 (Preferred)
2 or more years of Oil/Gas/or Pipeline experience (Preferred)
2 or more years of verifiable QA/QC or NDE experience (Preferred)
Proficiency in computers to include Microsoft Office (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures.
Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during the daily activities of the overall construction on a 12-mile pipeline project. Included but not limited to, excavations, concrete, rebar, PV installation, underground utilities, welding, piping, valves, and a wide variety of other equipment.
Have a working knowledge of the code(s) of construction being used for the project.
Demonstrates good organizational, planning and time management skills.
Conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner to ensure all QC data are properly and accurately recorded.
Daily monitoring and recording of all work as required by the Quality Inspection Test Plan (QITP).
Prevents deficiencies while working closely with field operating teams, through pre-construction quality control inspections.
Detect deficiencies and addresses deficiencies in a timely and effective manner.
Inspect the work and establish punch lists.
Ensure daily quality task schedules are met to meet the project schedule.
Work closely with the Client and field quality staff acting as their field representative ensuring construction understands and follows the QA/QC requirements.
Interface with field supervision to maintain an open line of communication.
Interacts cross-functionally with craft personnel and other team members.
Maintain complete and accurate records during inspections so they can be transferred to permanent hard copies and/or electronic files.
Capable of determining the calibration status of measuring and test equipment.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Other Duties as assigned.
