TC Energy is seeking a skilled Pipeline Technician to join their Michigan Area team in Hamilton, MI. This role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing Natural Gas compression, measurement, and regulation facilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with safe work practices, including SWA and LOTO procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Pass pre-employment medical screening and drug/alcohol testing.
  • Available for 24/7 call-outs and extended work periods during emergencies.
  • Willingness to travel for training or temporary assignments.
  • Comfortable working in adverse weather and confined spaces.
  • Motor vehicle records will be reviewed following a conditional offer of employment.
  • All applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based, without restrictions.
  • Background screening is required for all positions, which may include criminal and/or credit checks.

  • Experience locating and marking subsurface pipeline infrastructure
  • Experience in Lockout/Tagout
  • Experience in Gas Handling
  • Knowledge of valves and actuators
  • Knowledge of reciprocating compressors, turbines, and standby generators
  • Knowledge of Cathodic Protection
  • Knowledge of regulators and/or meters

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to prioritize and complete regulatory and operational tasks.
  • Monitor Miss Dig tickets through the Michigan one-call system and respond accordingly to ensure the safety of TC Energy assets.
  • Locate and visually mark subsurface pipeline infrastructure with paint and/or flags.
  • Oversee and manage pipeline or utility crossings and encroachments.
  • Complete required Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company documentation.
  • Perform pipeline maintenance activities.
  • Patrol pipeline right-of-way and assist with leak surveys.
  • Monitor, test, and maintain cathodic protection systems.
  • Complete work orders, generate gas handling plans, and LOTO Equipment and pipeline segments for maintenance.
  • Use SAP/Workday to manage work orders and job plans.
  • Operate company truck.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
