The Pipeline Technician maintains and operates crude oil pipelines, pump stations, and associated equipment. This role involves performing mechanical functions such as inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing equipment to ensure safe and productive performance. Responsibilities include routine maintenance of pumps, motors, and valves, as well as maintaining and operating custody transfer measurement facilities, performing product quality tests, and participating in required training and safety meetings. The technician must comply with state and federal regulations, review procedures for compliance, and perform remedial and preventative maintenance. They will also maintain facility appearance through good housekeeping, perform maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment, provide training and technical support, utilize precision tools, respond to operational emergencies, perform regulatory inspections, locate pipelines, oversee excavations, manage cleaning pigs, install pipeline markers, inspect ROW, maintain corrosion control equipment, and attend damage prevention meetings. Additionally, the role involves interfacing with landowners and working both indoors and outdoors in various environmental conditions.
