Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level B requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level a requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Computer and basic office software experience
  • Strong background in the natural gas industry is desired.
  • Effective written & verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment that includes shared responsibilities, establishing & maintaining good working relationships with others, to support company objectives, and willingness to work in all areas required by Operations Manager.
  • Sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and willingness to accept constantly changing priorities.
  • Highly motivated and 100% dedicated to area/division/corporate goals.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and schedule work.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Driving, walking, standing frequently
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required

  • Computer and basic office software experience as well as a strong background in the natural gas industry is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic operations and maintenance tasks necessary to operate pipeline and compressor station assets in a safe, reliable, and regulatory compliant fashion.
  • Live within 45 minutes of the Cypress, TX compressor station.
  • Work a 7:00-3:30 schedule.
  • Effectively use hand, power, and specialty tools and equipment such as computers and associated software applications.
  • Maintain records for required state, federal, and company procedures.
  • Utilize computers and e-mail for internal and external communication, record keeping, on-line reporting, material and supply ordering, and filing/maintenance of various forms & records.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and inspect the work of third party contractors.
  • Operate portable and mobile work equipment.
  • Actively contribute, providing and supporting the training of other employees, performing administrative duties in addition to technical tasks; and other activities such as budgeting, planning, scheduling, problem solving, prioritization, performance management, and decision-making.
  • Conduct line patrols, respond to one calls, and other damage prevention activities.
  • Assist fellow employees or technical personnel and/or perform other tasks as defined by the Operations Manager.
  • Perform work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions and temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas, heavy lifting, and cramped conditions.
  • Work in remote locations, often working alone.
  • May be required to travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, and training.
  • May require some overnight stays away from home.
  • Subject to call out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and extended work-days and/or work-weeks.
  • Required to carry a cell phone and is subject to 24-hr/day callout at any time for emergency response.
  • Have a proven safe driving record and provide documentation of past traffic violations upon request, as well as maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test, and adhere and be subject to all U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol related regulations, and be subject to background check.
