About The Position

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is a leading North American provider of midstream energy services. The Pipeline Technician maintains and operates Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) oil pipelines, pump stations, and all associated equipment. This role involves performing mechanical functions such as inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing equipment to ensure safe and productive performance. The position requires adherence to state and federal regulations, including process safety management and operator qualification requirements. Responsibilities also include maintaining facility appearance through good housekeeping, performing maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment, providing training and technical support, utilizing precision tools, responding to operational emergencies, performing regulatory inspections, monitoring NGL activities, overseeing excavations, managing pipeline markers and right-of-ways, maintaining corrosion control, and attending damage prevention meetings. The role also involves interfacing with landowners and other representatives.

Requirements

  • Must live within the Moriarty/Albuquerque NM or surrounding areas.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of the general design and operation of a liquid or gas pipeline is required.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • The ability to read P&ID and electrical diagrams and other complex electrical drawings.
  • Interpret plant electrical diagrams.
  • Update electrical drawings.
  • Install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, process controls, substation and branch feeders, variable frequency drives, air/fuel controllers, panel boards, HMI, PLC’s etc.
  • Perform preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts associated with this equipment.
  • Perform preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts associated with this equipment.
  • Maintain and operate custody transfer measurement facilities and perform product quality control tests.
  • Perform preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts associated with this equipment.
  • The ability to take callouts and work overtime is required.
  • Must live or relocate to within 1 hour of reporting location.

Nice To Haves

  • Vo-Tech certificate or associate degree in electrical/Electronics, Oil & Gas technical field or related work experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the operation, maintenance, and/or construction of a hazardous liquid or gas pipeline facility, or a similar facility/system is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of industry-related maintenance and repair standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing or assisting with routine maintenance of pumps, electric motors, and gas-driven turbine engines (e.g., bearing and seal replacements, alignments, couplings, sumps, fans, drain piping modifications).
  • Performing maintenance on other mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, and valve actuators.
  • Assisting with the replacement of pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment.
  • Maintaining and operating custody transfer measurement facilities and performing product quality control tests.
  • Performing or assisting with routine maintenance of pumps, electric motors, valves, and electrical troubleshooting of refined products pipeline and terminal.
  • Participating in and successfully completing training programs, process safety management reviews, and safety meetings.
  • Reviewing procedures to ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Performing remedial and preventative maintenance and maintaining facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices.
  • Performing preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts.
  • Providing training and technical support.
  • Utilizing precision tools and test equipment.
  • Responding to operational emergencies as a member of an area emergency response team.
  • Performing regulatory required inspections.
  • Monitoring NGL oil receipt and delivery activities.
  • Locating pipelines, overseeing excavations, and line crossings.
  • Launching and receiving cleaning pigs and assisting with the launch and receiving of smart pigs.
  • Installing pipeline markers and performing routine inspections on ROW.
  • Maintaining and operating corrosion control equipment.
  • Attending and participating in damage prevention meetings.
  • Interfacing with various landowners.
  • Coordinating construction tie-ins and being responsible for lockout/tagout, purging, and packing pipelines.
  • Gathering accurate data and completing daily reports.
  • Maintaining pipeline right-of-ways and all associated operational tasks.
  • Operating, inspecting, and maintaining high-pressure pipelines, valves, regulators, and related instrumentation in compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Managing storage and transfer of pipeline liquids; monitoring and inspecting pipeline encroachment.
  • Acting as a company representative and interacting with property owners, other pipeline company representatives, and local public representatives.
