About The Position

The General Superintendent coordinates and oversees Strike Operating Company’s pipeline project work, including pipeline construction, maintenance, integrity, facility-related scopes, and related energy infrastructure projects. This role supervises field personnel, trade partners, and subcontractors as required to successfully complete assigned projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and Strike’s policies and procedures. The General Superintendent is responsible for maintaining high-quality workmanship, administering strong construction safety practices, supporting effective crew utilization, and providing guidance and direction across multiple projects within the assigned area of responsibility. Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, materials, equipment, inspections, budgets, and crews of up to 200 people is required. This position is subject to heavy travel and relocation as needed based on project demands.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of pipeline and/or facilities construction experience, including maintenance, integrity, new construction, and facility-related project work.
  • Experience scheduling work, ordering materials, coordinating inspections, supervising field crews, managing subcontractors, and maintaining quality control on pipeline or facility projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, crews, work fronts, budgets, equipment resources, and customer expectations in a fast-paced field environment.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with large-diameter pipeline construction, compressor station or facility work, and complex energy infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes job safety, enforces safe work practices, and immediately mitigates jobsite hazards for all assigned pipeline and facility project work.
  • Conducts Job Safety Assessments (JSAs) before work begins and communicates mitigation efforts, safety expectations, and work plans to subordinate employees and crews.
  • Coordinates and supervises pipeline construction activities for maintenance, integrity, new construction, facility, and related energy infrastructure projects.
  • Directs field personnel, subcontractors, and trade partners to achieve project completion on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship in compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Controls jobsite expenditures for labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and services to ensure field operations remain within approved project budgets.
  • Reviews internal and customer forecasts, schedules, and project requirements to determine additional pipeline construction, alteration, maintenance, or facility needs.
  • Coordinates materials, equipment, labor resources, permits, inspections, testing, and project documentation as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Understands and applies project plans, specifications, customer requirements, Strike policies, procedures, and field execution systems.
  • Develops the field workforce to ensure project teams are qualified, knowledgeable, properly assigned, and effectively utilized across assigned work scopes.
  • Ensures all company employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors adhere to Strike’s safety policies, customer requirements, and applicable project procedures.
  • Maintains respectful, professional, and productive relationships with clients, inspectors, landowners, subcontractors, suppliers, and customer representatives.
  • Maintains an organized jobsite, field office, records, reports, schedules, and administrative documentation required to support successful project execution.
