About The Position

Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state. Trans Mountain also operates a state-of-the-art loading facility, Westridge Marine Terminal, with three berths providing tidewater access to global markets. Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative, motivated, and values-driven individual to join our dynamic team as a Pipeline Scheduler. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for coordinating crude oil logistics across Trans Mountain terminals and pipelines, working collaboratively while maximizing company revenue. The successful candidate will develop and maintain monthly crude oil receipt and delivery schedules, while balancing the needs of multiple facilities while minimizing risk to company interests.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Supply Chain, Petroleum Technology, Steam Engineering (Hydraulics), or a related discipline.
  • 6 - 10+ years of work experience in the oil industry preferably in scheduling or oil/gas operations
  • Understanding of crude oil scheduling and logistics.
  • Familiarity with pipeline hydraulics or volume accounting.
  • A track record of delivering high‑quality work, managing competing priorities, and supporting key business processes or operational functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels across the organization.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly, respectfully, and professionally.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create efficient and cost-effective throughput schedules for all Trans Mountain pipeline systems and tank farms independently and cooperatively within a scheduling team.
  • Coordinate and execute schedules from nominations while managing requests from Customer Logistics and customers while maximizing throughput of companies’ facilities.
  • Manage crude inventory of company facilities including monitoring tanks, reviewing batch tickets and working with Control Centre, Operations and Volume Accounting in this matter.
  • Support other groups including Operations and Engineering in coordinating movements to execute maintenance work safely and efficiently.
  • Represent the business interests of the department on projects when they arise.
  • Gather, analyze and compile data for weekly and monthly reporting.
