About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Pipeline Operator to support the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of oil and gas pipeline systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in pipeline operations, troubleshooting, inspections, and preventive maintenance, with a strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in oil and gas pipeline operations, production operations, or a related field required.
- Experience with pipeline inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and leak detection.
- Familiarity with pipeline safety regulations, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and safe work practices.
- Ability to read and interpret pipeline drawings, maps, and operating procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between field locations as needed.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and respond to after-hours callouts when required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with pipeline line locating and One Call procedures preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate pipeline systems to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of oil, natural gas, and other products.
- Perform routine inspections of pipelines, valves, pumps, meters, and associated equipment.
- Monitor pipeline pressures, flow rates, and operating conditions to identify and address abnormalities.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and assist with equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Perform pipeline line locating and coordinate with One Call (811) services as needed.
- Assist with pipeline pigging operations, pressure testing, and leak detection.
- Identify and report potential leaks, equipment malfunctions, and safety hazards.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams, contractors, and control room personnel to resolve operational issues.
- Maintain accurate daily operating logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
- Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and applicable operating procedures.
- Respond to emergency situations, equipment failures, and operational callouts as required.
