About The Position
At RDR, we have a strong focus on growth and recruitment and employ only the best local talent within our region. RDR is seeking Pipeline Laborers to round out our Piping and Mechanical team.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Willing and able to work safely in a construction environment.
- Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs. bend, stoop, kneel and climb.
- Able to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Read meters, gauges, or automatic recording devices on specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
- Record temperature of equipment, hours of operation, fuel consumed, temperature or pressure, liquid levels, etc.
- Adjusts manual controls or automated set points to keep equipment in recommended or prescribed operating ranges, switch to backup equipment or systems, or to shut down equipment.
- Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, repacking bearings, replacing packing glands, gaskets, valves, recorders, and gauges, and cleaning or replacing burners or other components.
- Load and unload equipment and materials from Trucks and Trailers with the use of proper rigging tools and lifting techniques
