Requirements

  • A minimum of a terminal graduate medical/scientific degree required, i.e. PhD, PharmD, MD, DO
  • Minimum of 8 years’ healthcare/pharma experience with a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Field Director
  • Experience launching and supporting rare hematology therapeutics as a Field Director
  • Ability to travel up to 60% (including overnight travel)
  • Ability to maintain an office in the home and live in close proximity to an airport.
  • Must be available to attend national scientific congresses and key strategic/scientific meetings across the US, and at the corporate office in Horsham, PA.

Nice To Haves

  • Immunology AND hematology experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Rare Diseases in a clinical or pharma setting
  • Experience with launching rare hematology therapies

Responsibilities

  • The recruitment and retention of top talent and will actively implement leadership strategies to inspire and motivate their team members

  • Responsible for timely completion of administrative duties. Examples include assessment and approval of expense reports, preparation and communication of team metric reports, among others.
  • Co-lead the communication of MSL team achievement updates to appropriate internal partners and levels of management
  • The hiring, onboarding, training and management of the Pipeline Autoantibody MSL team including:
  • Strengthening and building JNJ’s external footprint across the rare autoimmune and alloimmune therapeutic areas with a focus on warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia and maternal fetal indications
  • Ensuring that the team functions according to the Medical Affairs plan and company directives
  • Conducts routine team visits and 1:1 meetings providing observation and coaching
  • Conducts performance coaching and feedback discussions
  • Provides oversight responsibility for team’s training and development
  • Ensures team optimal capacity, field activity level, and field metrics
  • Successfully collaborate with headquarters
  • Ensures each MSL territory plan is strategic, up to date and actionable.
  • Manages the team through special projects and cross functional support activities
  • Ensures consistent execution of field medical plans across the US
