About The Position
Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking experienced Pipelayers for water/wastewater treatment plant projects in Jacksonville, FL. This role requires a strong understanding of pipe laying, grade setting, and various concrete forming systems. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication skills to lead craftspeople and ensure project success.
Requirements
- Experience in building water/wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Ability to shoot grades.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Working knowledge of flanged and mechanical joint (MJ) type ductile iron pipe.
- Understanding of different types of concrete forming systems (Symons, Peri, Doka, Meva, EFCO, Alisply, job built, etc.).
- Communication skills to lead craftspeople.

- Current operator certifications.
Responsibilities
- Lay pipe for water/wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Shoot grades accurately.
- Work with flanged and mechanical joint (MJ) type ductile iron pipe.
- Understand and utilize different types of concrete forming systems (Symons, Peri, Doka, Meva, EFCO, Alisply, job built, etc.).
- Lead craftspeople in all mentioned tasks.
- Potentially assist with pump setting, equipment setting, and concrete finishing.
