Under general supervision, this position operates construction equipment used in the maintenance, repair and installation of water mains, valves, fire hydrants, taps, and other aspects of water/sewer systems. The role involves working with a small crew and performing considerable manual labor as needed. This position requires availability to work on a rotating shift including nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather, as it is considered weather essential personnel. The employee's work is conducted both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions and in a dynamic environment that requires adaptability to changing goals, priorities, and needs.
