About The Position

Newforce Energy Services Ltd. is a diversified oilfield services company specializing in pipeline, facility, electrical, and instrumentation construction. With operations based in Drayton Valley, AB and a secondary location near Sylvan Lake, AB, we are seeking an experienced Pipefitter – Crew Foreman to lead field construction teams and ensure safe, high-quality project execution. Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pipefitting and facility construction.
  • H2S Alive certification
  • First Aid certification
  • Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel to remote sites
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings, layouts, maps, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of flow dynamics, pressure ratings, and system components.
  • Competent in operating picker trucks, rigging equipment, and completing lifts safely.
  • Interpret P&IDs, spool drawings, blueprints, isometrics, and specifications.
  • Travel required to remote job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the layout, installation, fabrication, and maintenance of piping systems in oil & gas construction settings.
  • Ensures work is complete and accurate to drawings, specifications, codes, company procedures, and OHS regulations.
  • Measures, threads and installs pipes.
  • Works independently with a helper as a crew under the direction of the supervisor.
  • Interprets drawings, layouts, maps, and specifications.
  • Installs and maintains piping systems, including tie-ins for new and existing infrastructure.
  • Measures, cuts, threads, welds, brazes, solders, and bends pipe using hand and power tools.
  • Performs mechanical jointing, threading, and fabrication work.
  • Conducts hydrostatic and pneumatic testing and verifies system integrity.
  • Installs supports, valves, control systems, and structural components.
  • Executes pipeline pigging, flushing, cleaning, and system reactivation tasks.
  • Ensures all work meets ASME, API, CSA, ABSA, and site-specific code requirements.
  • Enforces company, client, and OHS safety procedures.
  • Conducts site hazard assessments and verifies safe use of tools, rigging, and lifting equipment.
  • Maintains housekeeping and ensures safe, organized work areas.
