About The Position

RQ is seeking skilled Pipefitters to support our Mechanical Operations team on projects located at NS Mayport in Jacksonville, FL and the surrounding areas. All work is to be performed on the military base and is paid the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, specific to the base. Pipefitters are responsible for installing, assembling, laying out, and maintaining piping systems on commercial construction projects. This role requires producing high-quality work that meets project specifications, building codes, and industry standards while following all safety requirements. Candidates should have strong pipefitting experience, be proficient with the tools and equipment used in commercial mechanical installations, and be committed to delivering safe, quality work in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. RQ specializes in accelerated, ground-up commercial construction projects for both private and public-sector clients, with a significant concentration in Department of Defense construction and infrastructure work.

Requirements

• Strong pipefitting experience.
• Proficient with the tools and equipment used in commercial mechanical installations.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Pipefitter license or journeyman card or equivalent years of experience
• Mechanical Pipe Installation
• Deep underground experience
• Start-up and Energizing Experience (Boilers, Chillers)
• Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
• Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base.

Nice To Haves

• Valid Pipefitter license or journeyman card is preferred
• Current Welding certificate
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA-10 certifications preferred
