About The Position

The Pipefitter Journey role performs industrial pipefitting work, including planning and laying out pipe, preparing weld joints to project codes and standards, threading pipe, and testing and commissioning piping systems. The role may assist with lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation, and includes maintaining tools and equipment while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in industrial construction as a journeyman pipefitter.
• At least 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning piping systems.
• Basic rigging skills.
• Proficiency using small power tools, such as die grinders and right-angle grinders.
• Ability to read and comprehend piping isometric drawings.
• Ability to read and comprehend support details and drawings.
• Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain while carrying tools and building materials.
• Ability to climb vertical ladders, work at heights as necessary, and access scaffolding.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read piping and instrument diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Plan work efficiently.
