About The Position

LOD Staffing has openings for Pipefitter. The Pipefitter is responsible for installing or repairing plumbing, and their duties range from fabricating piping and materials to assembling systems and ensuring they run effectively and do not leak. Pipe Fitters may work on plumbing systems or heating and cooling piping.

Requirements

Resume or Detailed Job History Required.
Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience performing essential job functions listed which could include experience gained through a technical training program.
Must be able to pass Background Check and Drug Screening.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and piping schematics.
Proficient in the use of tools such as pipe cutters, threaders, welders, and torches.
Knowledge of local plumbing codes and industry best practices.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layout.
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles using hand and power tools.
Assemble and install a variety of metal and non-metal pipes and pipe fittings.
Secure piping to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers.
Test installed systems for leaks using pressure gauges and hydrostatic or pneumatic testing.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on piping systems.
Coordinate with other trades and team members to ensure accurate and timely project completion.
Adhere to company and OSHA safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Complete job documentation and work orders as require.
