About The Position

The Pipefitter Journey role involves industrial construction pipefitting, including planning work, laying out and threading pipe, preparing weld joints to project codes and standards, and testing and commissioning piping systems. The position also includes helping lift, position, and secure materials and work pieces during installation, maintaining tools and equipment, and following safety procedures. The role requires working with piping drawings and may involve accessing scaffolds, climbing ladders, working at heights, and traversing uneven terrain.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in industrial construction as a journeyman pipefitter.
• Basic rigging skills.
• Proficiency using small power tools, such as die grinders and right-angle grinders.
• Ability to read and comprehend piping isometric drawings.
• At least 3 years of experience testing and commissioning piping systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend support details and drawings.
• Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
• Ability to climb vertical ladders and work at heights as necessary.
• Understanding of the use of all types of personal fall arrest systems.
• Ability to access scaffolds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read piping and instrument diagrams.

Responsibilities
