About The Position
GDIT is seeking a Pipefitter to apply basic pipefitting processes to join, surface, fabricate, repair, or replace piping systems (e.g., steel, cuni). The role involves working from blueprints, engineering sketches, charts, or work orders, and using measuring tools and related equipment to target and fit piping. The pipefitter will sil-braze cuni pipe, may inspect completed work for conformance to specifications, and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Participation in special projects is also required.
Requirements
- 1 + years of related experience
- Skills: Pipe Fittings, Piping, Piping Systems
- Requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
- 1-3 years of related pipefitting experience.
- Braze qual CUNI and copper/face feed

- Technical or vocational training preferred
