About The Position

This role involves planning, laying out, and performing all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The Journeyperson will also be expected to work in other crafts at levels appropriate to their training and skills as requested by project supervision and must be able to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman. The position requires maintaining positive working relationships, producing high-quality work safely and productively, ensuring availability of materials and tools, and seeking opportunities for improvement. Effective communication, trade mathematics proficiency, and the ability to inspect and correct subordinates' work are also essential. The role emphasizes eliminating waste in all forms.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years’ (level I), four years’ (level II), five years’ (level III) and six plus years’ (level Sr.) experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry.
• In-depth understanding of the pipefitting trade.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, isometrics, P&ID’s, specifications, safety and quality standards.
• Effectively utilize all trade tools and equipment relevant to the work.
• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
• High proficiency in all related trade mathematics.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
