Requirements

  • Journeyperson or Registered Apprentice Certificate.
  • CSTS 2020
  • WHMIS 2015
  • ESC H2S Alive
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Organized and self-motivated.
  • Must be capable of physical labour.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.
  • Knowledge and experience of industry related safe work practices.
  • Previous industrial experience considered is required.

Responsibilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality.
  • Calculating weight of materials and/or spools to ensure proper equipment is used.
  • Reading and interpreting client and company-supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bending, and assembling and installing piping, valves, and fittings.
  • Joining pipe sections/related equipment and securing position.
  • Using testing equipment to check systems for leaks.
  • Complying with ONEC’s and client safety policies and procedures.
  • Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs, nights, and overtime upon client request.
  • Operating machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Assembling machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
