About The Position

Will perform assigned pipefitting duties as an Amentum employee onsite at the NASA Johnson Space Center. This role requires a strong background in all pipe fitting work, including fitting weld, threaded, and mechanical joint fittings. The position also involves the use of an Oxy-Gas torch, Rigid 535 pipe machine, fitting copper fittings, bolting up flanges, sweating copper, and taking off for 4” standard 45° butt-weld. The job requires the ability to lift 40 lbs and effectively work in a hot and noisy environment. HVAC experience is essential for this position.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA Badge.
Must be able to provide required documents to obtain NASA Badge.
Must have the ability to communicate the English language: speaking, reading, and writing, in an effective manner.
Must have, and maintain, a valid Texas driver’s license (with REAL ID star)
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen test.
Clean, neat, and professional personal appearance.
Must pass Asbestos physical and be able to wear a respirator as needed.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Dexterity to operate office and field equipment as required by the position.
In good physical shape/condition for climbing in and out of tight restricted working areas, as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Prior knowledge of NASA site, experienced with working on government installations preferred.
