About The Position

The Industrial Journeyman Pipefitter is responsible for assembling, laying out, installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial piping systems and related components in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Industrial Pipefitter or Pipefitter Helper
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Working knowledge of industrial pipefitting procedures and techniques
Experience working on industrial construction or maintenance projects
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Proven industrial construction and/or maintenance experience
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical documents
Knowledge of industrial piping installation and maintenance practices
Strong understanding of pipefitting processes and procedures
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to work effectively in a team environment

NCCER Pipefitter Certification
Formal technical or vocational training

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work scope, material requirements, and installation procedures
Identify tools and equipment required for assigned tasks
Recognize workplace hazards and implement appropriate safety measures
Fabricate, prepare, install, and fit pipe according to project specifications
Install valves, flanges, hangers, supports, and other piping components
Perform quality checks and testing on piping systems
Safely move and position materials using rigging equipment, including slings, chains, shackles, hooks, and cables
Follow all site and company safety requirements
