About The Position

Borusan Pipe is looking for an experienced Pipe Yard Forklift Operator II to join our manufacturing operation in Baytown, Texas. This role is not a typical warehouse forklift job. We are seeking operators skilled in safely moving long, heavy, oversized material using heavy-duty industrial equipment. Team members in this role operate heavy-duty diesel forklifts and specialized pipe-handling equipment across our production and outdoor yard operations. Responsibilities include safely moving, staging, loading, and unloading pipe, and ensuring material flow throughout the mill. This is a heavy manufacturing environment working around large equipment, steel pipe, production operations, and outdoor yard conditions, where safety, awareness, and equipment-control skills are paramount. Experience in a pipe mill, steel mill, steel service center, fabrication facility, precast operation, heavy material yard, or similar industrial environment is preferred. This role is critical to keeping the manufacturing operation moving safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy-capacity industrial forklifts
• Experience handling pipe, steel, structural material, or other oversized loads
• Strong understanding of load balance, stability, capacity, and safe material handling
• Ability to operate confidently in outdoor yards and on uneven terrain
• Experience loading and unloading trucks, trailers, railcars, or storage areas

Nice To Haves

• Background in a pipe mill, steel mill, steel service center, fabrication facility, precast operation, heavy material yard, or similar industrial environment

Responsibilities

• Safely move long, heavy, oversized material using heavy-duty industrial equipment
• Operate heavy-duty diesel forklifts and specialized pipe-handling equipment
• Safely move, stage, load, and unload pipe
• Help keep material flowing throughout the mill
• Identify equipment or material-handling issues and respond appropriately
• Work independently while coordinating with Production, Shipping, Quality, and other teams
