About The Position

IMI is seeking a full-time Pipe Welder local to the Cartersville, GA area. This role involves accurately applying intermediate mathematical skills, potentially using various welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW, SMAW/MMA), and welding in multiple positions (1G to 6G). Responsibilities include repairing broken or cracked parts and filling holes.

Requirements

1-3 years' experience
NCCER or AWS certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school.
Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods of time.
Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors including times of inclement weather.
Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
Must be highly safety conscious and have ability to see and escape from dangerous situations
Ability to climb a ladder and step into various pieces of equipment.
Must be local to the Cartersville, GA area.

Responsibilities

Accurately apply intermediate mathematical skill including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, conversion of fractions and decimals, and geometry.
May be required to use Gas-Metal Arc (GMAW), Flux-Cored Arc (FCAW), Gas-Tungsten Arc (GTAW), Submerged Arc (SAW), or Shielded Metal Arc (SMAW/MMA) welding processes.
May weld in 1G to 6G positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, inclined, or overhead.
Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
