About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pipe Welder for a projects located in and around Richmond, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $26/hour based on experience and skill level. Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipe Welder
- Strong Schedule 40 steel pipe welding experience
- Proficiency with Stick Welding (SMAW)
- Ability to perform multi-pass root, fill, and cap welds in all positions
Responsibilities
- Perform multi-pass root, fill, and cap welds on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipe in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
- Cut, bevel, align, and fit pipe using torches, grinders, and specialized beveling tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding schematics, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Weld and install Schedule 40 steel pipe according to project specifications
- Assist with condenser piping installation and related mechanical room work
- Maintain quality standards and comply with all job site safety requirements
