About The Position

Multiple openings are available with growing manufacturing companies in the Tulsa area for experienced vessel, pipe, and header welders. The roles involve welding pressure vessels, pipe systems, header assemblies, and other heavy industrial equipment using MIG, flux-core, and/or TIG processes. Candidates must be able to read blueprints and weld symbols, fit and align components, inspect completed welds, and follow safety and quality standards. Weld tests are required and vary by welder specialty.

Requirements

• Experience with pipe, vessel, header, or heavy industrial welding.
• Proficiency in MIG, flux-core, and/or TIG welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience using measuring tools and layout equipment.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Pipe welders must pass a test consisting of 3G MIG (open root) and 6G TIG root / flux-core fill and cap on 2-inch Schedule 160 pipe.
• Header welders must pass a test consisting of 3G MIG (open root) with flux-core fill and cap.
• Vessel welders must pass a test consisting of 3G MIG (open root) with flux-core fill and cap.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, flux-core, and TIG welding on vessels, pipe, and header assemblies.
• Read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Fit, align, and weld components to specification.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and code compliance.
• Safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
• Follow all safety and quality standards.
