Pipe Shop Material Handler - 2nd Shift Warehouse
About The Position
Famous Supply is seeking a Pipe Shop Material Handler for the 2nd shift in the warehouse. This is a purpose-driven organization with a family culture, looking for positive, growth-oriented, high-performers. The starting wage is $18.50/hour plus a shift differential and an annual bonus opportunity. The shift begins at 6:00 pm. Warehouse associates are responsible for handling various materials, unloading trucks, receiving and putting away material, picking and staging customer orders for delivery, and loading customer delivery trucks. Associates will handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces, and showers.
Requirements
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand on feet for majority of an 8 hour day
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience
- Building industry experience and requisite product knowledge
- Experience working in a warehouse
- Experience using RF Scanners
Responsibilities
- Handling rooftops, steel & copper and PVC pipe, flat stock sheet metal material
- Unloading trucks
- Receiving material
- Put-away of material
- Picking customer orders
- Staging customer orders for delivery
- Loading customer delivery trucks
- Ensuring product is handled with care to prevent damage
- Attention to detail to ensure warehouse tasks are done accurately
- Keeping warehouse clean, neat and organized
