About The Position
The Pipe Layer Laborer installs and directs pipes for construction projects, such as connecting buildings to water systems, underground drainage pipes, and sewers and water mains. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Requirements
- ability to read blueprints
- works well with a team
- able to lift up to 75lbs
Responsibilities
- Preparing the ground and digging trenches
- Assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems
- Aligning pipes and sealing joints with cement or glue
- Following blueprints and written instructions to ensure pipes are positioned and sloped correctly
- Cutting pipes to the required length using hand and power tools
- Removing old or broken piping systems
