About The Position
Come Join our amazing, Employee-Owned Company and become a part of the crew! Pipe Layers are responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm drain, water, and sewer installation.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs.
- Ability to learn grading math.
- 2 years' experience as a pipe layer on a site work or utility crew.
Responsibilities
- Lay pipe for storm or sanitary sewer, drains, and water mains.
- Utilize a grade rod to set grade.
- Set and mud trench boxes.
- Sets the laser at the proper grade for task at hand.
- Makes sure pipe is installed at the proper grade.
- Assist the heavy equipment operator in proper depth for the pipe being installed.
- Ensures pipes are fitted and aligned properly per foreman.
- Makes sure pipe is backfilled and chalked in properly.
- Ensures that the trench has all the proper safety equipment in place per OSHA regulations.
