About The Position

Archer Western, a member of The Walsh Group, is seeking a Pipe Layer for the WEGA/WB Casey WWRF Biosolids project in Jonesboro, GA. The Pipe Layer will perform physical labor tasks such as laying, joining, wrapping, and sealing pipes on construction jobsites, including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects. This role may involve operating hand and/or power tools and assisting with site preparation and other assigned duties. Requirements

Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
May be required to work in adverse weather conditions
Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
Requires good manual dexterity
May be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other type of pipe for water/gas main, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits
Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor
