About The Position
Sea Island Land Development is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to join our growing team. As a Pipe Layer with Sea Island, you’ll play an important role in the successful completion of our sitework and utility projects by installing underground pipe with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. Requirements
- Previous pipe laying or underground utility experience preferred.
- Knowledge of pipe installation, grading, and utility construction.
- Ability to read plans and follow grade stakes
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
Responsibilities
- Install storm drainage, sewer, water, and other underground utility pipes.
- Read and interpret utility plans, site plans, and grade stakes.
- Use pipe lasers and other tools to maintain proper grade alignment.
- Properly prepare bedding and ensure pipe-related tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with foreman, equipment operators, and other crew members.
