About The Position

Nox Group is seeking a Pipe Layer to support innovative, complex, and large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects. This role will be instrumental in delivering RMCI’s first-generation programs as a General Contractor within hyperscale and enterprise data center environments. As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground pipelines and associated infrastructure. This role is crucial in ensuring the proper functioning of water, sewer, drainage, and utility systems in construction projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in pipe laying, preferably in a construction or utility infrastructure setting.
• Understanding of underground utilities, construction techniques, and safety regulations related to pipe installation.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, digging, and working in confined spaces.
• Precision and accuracy in pipe alignment and installation to ensure functionality and longevity of infrastructure.
• Effective communication skills to follow instructions, relay information to team members, and work collaboratively on projects.

Responsibilities

• Lay and install pipes, conduits, and drainage systems according to blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
• Dig and prepare trenches using hand tools and machinery such as excavators and trenchers, ensuring proper depth and slope for pipes. Shoring up trenches to prevent collapses and ensure safety.
• Align and position pipes for connections and join sections of pipes together using welding, cementing, bolting or other methods as required.
• Backfill trenches and compact earth to secure pipes in place, ensuring stability and preventing shifting or damage.
• Inspect and test installed pipes for leaks, damages, or defects, and make necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Shoring up trenches to prevent collapses and ensure safety.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked for project reporting and billing purposes.
• Coordinate with construction crews, supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
