About The Position

Hyundai GLOVIS America Inc. is a third-party logistics provider headquartered in Irvine, CA. We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers' needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies. This role will lead the 2nd shift PIO team by installing, troubleshooting, training, and providing a productive and efficient shop floor. The individual should be able to run the department in the absence of the PIO Supervisor, which includes running pull lists, holding pre-shift meetings, and compiling shift recap reports.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must have demonstrated mechanical abilities
  • Have general knowledge of automobile components
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools, drills, wrenches, etc
  • Able to communicate precise instructions
  • Ability to operate handheld scanners / PDA
  • Troubleshoot automotive issues
  • HS Diploma/G.E.D Required
  • 1 year of experience in Automotive/Repair Required

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience in Automotive/Repair Preferred
  • Computer Literate Training Required
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Training Preferred
  • ASE Certificate or License Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install accessories according to manufacturer's instructions
  • Overall understanding of PIO installations and ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Correct any deficiencies noted by Quality Control before the vehicle is returned to staging area
  • Complete a defect tag if parts are defective and submit to Supervisor, for which part my be considered a warranty claim
  • Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment. Ensure all policies and procedures are followed regarding safety
  • When required, perform installations outside
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed on each install according to customer specifications and quality standards
  • Perform periodic audits to ensure installations are effectively performed
  • Assist fellow team members to make sure quality is maintained, and installations are completed in a timely manner
  • Ability to work effectively in group/team settings: make progress determinations as needed, recommend performance determinations
  • Ability to conduct meetings and other required sessions for communication of quality, production, and safety requirements
  • Ability to use iVeles to provide PIO pull list
  • Ability to complete shift recap report
  • Other duties as assigned
