About The Position

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Pin Puller in our 2nd shift Fiber Department at our Conover, NC manufacturing plant. This role performs various functions associated with rolling fiber during routine fiber roll production. The position involves communicating with machine operators, department supervisors, and coworkers, and working in a normal production environment with exposure to temperature changes. The major challenge of the position involves physically handling and controlling the pin on a routine basis in a proficient manner consistent with the speed of the fiber line production.

Requirements

Basic reading, writing and math skills.
Basic computer experience and ability to use a computer in day-to-day operations.
Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and call-in with little notice.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to read and write English.
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Must be able to lift 18lb. 200" rod regularly throughout the shift.
Works quickly.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience preferred.
